“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.”
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 NLT
Our message, our actions, all our knowledge and understanding, none of it will mean anything to anyone if they are given out of the wrong motivations of our hearts. People will NEVER LISTEN to what you have to say, or be touched by our actions (giving, serving, etc.) if we are there out of a sense of obligation, an air of superiority, or a hostile temperament. Do these things; speak to people, spread the message of Christ through words and actions, out of love because you not only know the risks they face should they never know him but you desperately want to prevent them from having to suffer them. Be desperate to save them, love them not for who they are themselves but for the child that our Father created and longs to bring home.
